Litty Mathew is a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Manager with over 6 years of experience.
She has a Master’s degree in Dietetics and Food Service Management from India. She started career as a dietitian in a private clinic in India, where she conducted comprehensive nutrition assessments and developed individually tailored nutrition care plans for clients to manage weight and chronic diseases.
Litty moved to Canada in 2013 and become a member of Canadian society of Nutritional managers in 2014. She validated her certificate through Internationally Educated Dietitians Pre registration program (IDPP) at Ryerson University, Toronto. Became a member of College of Dietitians of Ontario in 2017.
Her experience in Canada includes development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans of residents of long term care homes, working with Public Health and Community Health Centres conducting cooking classes for priority population, facilitate at Toronto Shelters Standard menu planning workshop, School Nutrition Program and, planned and Implemented Cooking skills program for developmentally delayed youth. Has designed and developed educational tools for clients on Diabetes and Heart health and for in-service training of staff at long term care homes.
She has also provided one on one client counselling sessions and group education sessions for people living with Diabetes and other chronic diseases in multidisciplinary setting.
Litty’s areas of expertise include weight management and chronic disease management including diabetes, and heart health (high blood pressure, high cholesterol).
Litty has helped people set SMART goals and to achieve the goals through practical strategies. She is also passionate about healthy cooking using natural ingredients and to teach the clients to make healthy ingredient choices and to improve cooking skills and lifestyle modification.
