Daniela Morgado is a Registered Dietitian with more than 15 years of experience in helping individuals improve their quality of life through healthy eating habits. She has bachelor degree in Nutrition and post-degree in Exercise Physiology from University of Brasilia (Brazil). She started her career as a Clinical Dietitian in a public funded hospital in Brasilia. She moved to Canada with her family in 2008 and validated her certificate through Ryerson University in Toronto (Internationally Trained Dietitians Pre-Registration Program), becoming a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario in 2014. Daniela is also a Certified Diabetes Educator, assisting individuals to make lifestyle modifications to improve blood sugars.
Her experience in Canada includes being an In-Store Dietitian assisting customers to understand food labels, doing grocery store tours and cooking demonstration classes. She has also worked in multi-disciplinary clinics with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, pharmacists providing nutritional counselling to individuals living with chronic diseases. Her areas of expertise include weight management, healthy eating for heart health (high blood pressure, high cholesterol), nutrition care for better digestion (IBS, IBD, and food allergies). Daniela can plan healthy meals for you and your family providing recommendations to assist with weight loss, improve blood sugar control, reduce cholesterol and blood pressure and increase overall energy levels.
Daniela is passionate about helping clients improve their relationship with food. As a busy mom of twins, she understands that it can be challenging to make healthy choices when life is busy and hectic. She strongly believes that moderation and balance are key for sustainable lifestyle changes. Her goal is to provide simple and practical strategies to improve eating habits, since small changes can make a significant impact in the quality of life.
